Champagne in the Lounges in Haneda Airport HND

” I won daddy ” exclaimed Bobo, he was in a climbing competition while I was away in Seoul. Miss him so much! Transited through Tokyo in Haneda airport. 

I unfortunately have to report that in lounges this is a waste land for champagne lovers.

First tried the Skylounge accessible by most credit cards only if they are issued in Japan, not worth the effort 

   
 

Then off to the Cathay Pacific lounge, beautiful space with a noodle bar but no champagne only sparkling wine, have an Emerald One Alliance card through BA so talked my way in.

   
    
    
    
 

The staff in this lounge are amazing. A greatp lounge upto the bar this airline sets can’t understand why there was no champagne on offer.

Off to the Tait lounge got in because of my Gold Delta, no champagne but a nice enough lounge food was average

   
    

Was flying Star Alliance so was allowed into the Star Alliance Lounge operated by ANA which had a First Suite Lounge and a Business Class Lounge . There is NO CHAMPAGNE in the business class lounge, a choice of Sake though. There is champagne in the First Lounge but was only allowed to photograph it 

 

In desperation tried the JAL First Class Sakura lounge. Aono understood the importance of reporting on the champagne situation. This is really the best lounge for Champagne lovers in HND. There is a choice of two Monopole by Heidsieck and one of my favorites Laurent Perrier

              

There is a fridge full of Laurent Perrier

One bonus they have the Red Suite got my shoes shined 

       

They also have a chef that makes food to order

Never made it into the ANA suite lounge but for the great food, two choices of champagne and the bonus of getting my shoes shined in my opinion this s the best lounge in Haneda. So if you fly out of Tokyo think of flying One World and not Star Alliance.

Ozone the best brunch in Hong Kong for champagne lovers …free flowing Dom Perignon 2006

” Dad the only reason you are going to give a talk in Ho Chi Minh city is because you can go for brunch at Ozone on you way back ” exclaimed Bobo the Prince. I have to admit there was a kernel of truth in that statement.

Ozone sits on top of the Ritz Carlton in Kowloon and advertises it self as the highest bar in the world. Stunning views of Hong Kong and Victoria harbor. By night sleak bar filled with the Beautiful. On Sumday turns into a champagne lovers dream.

The Dom flows freely on the Sunday Brunch this  weekend the 2006 Vintage

   
    
 
Dan is a Frenchman doing his internship away from his Swiss Hospitalty program. Had great tips on navigating the buffet.

   
 
There is a sushi bar a tapas bar as well as the entree which is al carte. Also other wine, beer and spirits are available. I had the Wagyu beef burger kept drinking the Dom even though they had a Malbec available.

   
    
    
    
 
The hotel itself is stunning and it is worthwhile stsying on the club floor good snacks and free flowing Moet

  
The Ritz Carlton Kowloon is worth a visit as the highest hotel in the world and this amazing brunch, a champagne lovers dream.

Ok Bobo you were partially correct, Ozone was worth a stop on the way back from Saigon.
